找出1994年Mariah Carey耶誕專輯，跟著她的海豚音尖叫，心情也跟著翻了幾轉上雲霄。大概就是從那年開始，每年耶誕節都要聽這些歌曲，即使不是教徒，也感到音樂中的幸福。
每次聽瑪麗亞凱莉的現場演唱，全身都起雞母皮。第一次認識她的那個晚上，我在客廳的書桌唸書，媽媽叫我去看電視，她說：「這個女歌手好會唱！」在銀幕上的她穿著簡單剪裁的黑色長禮服，在麥迪遜廣場演唱會唱Hero，我那時的英文還不好，雖然一句都聽不懂，但全身都起雞皮疙瘩(就是這隻MV，按這裡)。
在那個年紀家裡經濟不是很寬裕，但媽媽主動提議幫我買了同名專輯，下一張Daydream專輯也是在唱片行看到，媽媽說要買，我一開始還說：「可是好貴欸。」
之後每張專輯我都一定要到手，把歌詞背得滾瓜爛熟，再跟著唱到家裡的人耳朵都要長繭。她將英文這個語言唱得實在是太優美了，為了要瞭解那些歌詞，我也對英文也有了興趣。
在當時，Mariah的氣質清新、高挑窈窕，唇紅齒白加上會放電的眼睛，再配上令人神魂顛倒的嗓音，真的是萬人迷～（好拉，我知道大家都忘了，但還是要提醒，她以前真的是很美阿！）
她在出名之前幫人配音，也過了一段窘困的日子。然後她實現了美國夢，用她美妙的嗓音告訴大家，只要相信自己，你就是自己的英雄。
如果那晚沒聽到她唱歌，說不定我就變成了數學家呢（才怪）。
