Owl City這個樂團其實只有一個成員：Adam Young. 這個名字又是亞當又是年輕，感覺很純粹又天真。當被問到為什麼要取這個團名，Adam說：有個小學同學的父親養貓頭鷹，那天他父親帶著貓頭鷹來教室，卻一不小心鬆綁了。貓頭鷹在教室裡撲翅亂飛，所有的小孩到處奔跑、尖叫、大笑。這一幕就此刻印在他心裡。
Vanilla Twilight (香草曙光)第24秒下的間奏很有國樂古典味道，與電音奇妙的融合，讓這首歌在西洋流行樂中鶴立雞群。收錄在Ocean Eyes 專輯中，這並不是他的第一張專輯。早在2007年Adam就因為常常失眠，開始在父母家中的地下室創作。
