喬安納的房間

從國中開始ICRT一直是蒐集音樂的管道，晚上有時就開著讓他"號"整晚。最近比較閒又開始這個習慣，常常聽到令人驚艷的音樂後，馬上跳到Youtube上面去找，現在資訊流通真的比以前方便好多。

今天下午聽到Of a Revolution (O.A.R)這首"Shattered"腦袋頓時被電觸到。

搜尋到的這支MV最前面那個彈鋼琴的手、還有第五秒下來的鼓聲，讓我百看不厭；不過也可能是因為歌詞寫的好。我常常搞不清楚自己喜歡一首歌是音樂真的棒到不可思議，或者是歌詞寫的深得我心。

不過大家都知道歌詞(尤其是英文的)，常常就是寫的不清不楚，讓人看的好像懂又不是很懂。這首副歌(歌詞在下方)的最後一句"turn the car around"，一開始不是很知道怎麼詮釋，去google之後，竟然看到有人把他解釋作："(心情不好的時候就會)開車去閒晃"。 讓我整個很"囧"。

雖然我不知道怎麼詮釋，但我確定不是開車兜風的意思。請問了美國友人：

"what does it mean? Turn the car around"
友："it's when you are driving and make a U turn"
我："it's in the song of O.A.R" (給連結)

友："hmmmm.... you know these lyrics. too poetic, I don't understand myself"
我："does that mean that he wants to turn away from the girl?"
友："ok. so he wants to leave this girl.
but always goes back (turns the car around).
cause he can't leave"

謎底揭曉，就是一個為愛受折磨的人，想要逃離現在的處境，但不管他去了哪，還是會想到他愛的人。能心碎多少次直到粉碎？不懂自己追求的到底是為了什麼。感受到的真實其實只是自己假裝出來的真實，Taking my time but it's time that I'm wasting.

歌名Shattered當然可以當作"心煩意亂的"來翻譯，但我覺得歌詞裡面的用法"Shatter"才是他想表達的。How many times can I break till I shatter?
